    Exciter coil?

Got a no spark condition on a '99 SLH (the same one we just put a pump stator, etc on ) Went thru the whole t/s procedure and the only thing that checked bad was the exciter coil-590 ohms. The book calls for 1200. Everything else was in specs. Could this be the problem? I guess its there for a reason. K447, I expect a lengthy dissertation on how this works and why!

Jay, Here's a quick test thanks to Jay from Alantic P/S. Try it.
If I could ad something here for you guys about the L/R Module(voltage regulator). If in any boat that the L/R Module powers up the ignition(orange jumper to the red/purple) and you think is giving you a no start condition do this. press and hold the bilge button down while crank the boat over and see if it starts/has spark. if it starts then you have a bad L/R. when you press the bilge button you bypass the L/R module. quick and easy trick. hope this helps.

    Jay
