Changing Hydroturf mats
I have removed OEM mats and installed Hydroturf in place but I have never removed Hydroturf. The OEM is a pain in the A$$ but is Hydroturf easier, or harder? I assume it is the same process.

if you used the hydroturf with the psa, it's the same as stock. Contact cement Good luck, and the sooner you accept the fact that you are not getting it all off,the sooner your sanity will return

Could you explain what the best way is to remove OEM mats? Is it worth putting on Hydroturf mats? I just bought my first Jet Ski a couple of weeks ago and I am looking for ways to personalize it a bit.

Just takes time and a lot of work. What i did was soak the mat in mineral spirits then start scraping with a puddy knife. If you have a friend that can start pulling the mats up from a corner and the other scrape as he is pulling i found that was the quickest way. It is just really hard work.

It defanitly is hard work! When i changed mine i got as much of the mats off by pealing them off gently by hand but thats the easy bit. After that i used a small paint scraper and tar remover to get the rest of them off

The thing that worked best for me was this cirtrus based glue remover I got from a guy at a sign shop. Rub it on the glue and let sit 30 seconds then it rubs right off. You have to repeat it on the thick glue areas.

I used "Goo Gone Extreme"... It worked really good. Be carefule when scraping though. I used el-cheapo plastic scrapers from wally world and they seemed to work fine along with a green scratch pad. Just be careful as it scratches the crap out of the shine on the ski..

after i removed the pad, i used a heat gun (hair dryer style) to warm up the layer of glue then used a putty knike to scrape it off... then acetone to get rid of the sticky stuff... worked great... only took a couple hours...
