WOW! 07 RXT - Maiden Voyage

After 2 long months of having it sitting on the garage waiting for the weather to warm up (reading this site daily), I finally took it out... My first ski, recently traded an 05 Sportster 155hp for the 07 RXT. What a machine... Still only 1.5hrs and was able to get to 63.5 (GPS) 7710 on a cool 60F morning with 3/4 tank of gas on Lake Norman. On a stock RXT, once things loosen up, what kind of RPMs should I see?
I did burn about 5G of fuel over the first 1hr of break-in, hopefully I did it right...

Once good and broken in you shoud see between 7950 - 8100 rpms. Top speed should be around 65 ish.

Unless you plan to modify or ride on an extremely rough lake... you should be fine on the washers. I had over 80 hrs each on 06 rxp/rxt's without a sniff of problems.

That right there is just plain bad advice. We (knowledgable people on this site) have seen them break and in the process destroying the engine of a $10,000+ craft, in the first 2 hours. These were ski's that were babied. Is it really worth chancing for a $150 + shipping fix?

    Welcome to the forum...

Welcome to our crazy family! Congrats on your ski! In the 2 months of staring at it you could have swapped the washers. But no biggie, get them swapped out ASAP! We have seen them pop on people in as little as 3 hours...
