    Belt gauge

Here are a few pics of the belt gauge. It's very easy to use and needs to be in everyone's tool box
Slide it over the belt between the supercharger wheel and the main coupler. Make sure it is lined up with and pointed at the bolt you see in the 1st & 2nd pic.
Keep it 90 degrees to the belt and swing it over untill it meets the face of the idler wheel. Look and see if the pointer falls between the notch on the end of the gauge.
You will be suprised how few turns on the adjuster bolt it will take to get the correct tension. I had to back off 4 turns when I checked mine after installing some new parts.

    Mandatory

Also don't forget that you need to spin the engine a few revolutions and check again. Disconnect the coils if you rather it not to fire up.
