    RXT ride plates...

So I'm under my ski...just finishing the sanding on all the dried epoxy after installing a coupla skegs and it dawns on me....my ride plate doesn't extend to the very back of the hull.

Is it supposed to? Mine stops about an 1 1/2" from the edge.

It seems to me the plate should run all the way back?

    No?

Yes, the RXT/GTX ride plates are about 1 3/8" shy of reaching the end of the hull. The RXP plates are only about 1/8" short of the end.

I have always wondered if it would help the "couches" if the plate were flush and trued with the hull and transom.

I've seen pics of GH's old ski....he had his ride plate extended...I don't recall exactly how much it helped...but I seem to remember that it did.

What do you all suppose it would entail and cost to get it extended maybe even a bit further?
