    HELP!! Steel Post Removal

I have a Dominator manifold that has the steel post in them. I put them in about a year or so ago to put the stock cages on with reed stuffers. The steel post held the reed stuffer in place. I am trying to put the M-16 cages back on but I can not to that without the steel post coming out. Well, I can not get them out. I have clamped a set of vice grips on them but I am not even getting a budge.

Any suggestions on how to remove these?

    Thumbs up Lube

Try some PB...They carry it at most automotive stores like Advance Auto Parts. Sorry I do not remember what the PB stands for but they will know what you are referring to.

Never heard of PB but I will check it out tomorrow. I was able to get 3 of the 6 posts removed. I tried to spray WD-40 but to avail.

I will look for that stuff...thanks.

You need PB Blaster. It is in the same isle as WD40. White can/yellow cap. Spray it on and let it sit overnight.

I sprayed that stuff on there yesterday afternoon. Still not a budge out of them. My vice grips just spin around the post.

Can you get two nuts on the stud, back to back or is the threads toast now? If you can get two nuts on there, and bottom them out against one another, I've yet to see one not come out...

But I'd try heat before ANYTHING else.
