    new to green hulk

hello everybody,am new to this forum and personal watercraft.have just purchased a 97 xp.i have been reading alot on this forum and have picked up alot of info.living in utah and lakes are just thawing out, hope to have boat in water in may.reading about fuel lines,i have inspected mine and noticed that they are are gray tempo lines.xp starts right up and hooked to a hose it seems to run ok.should i still go ahead and replace them or wait to see how it feels on the water.also living in a high elevation area are their any mods or prop changes that should be considered to make it run better.thanks for the input

welcome to the site. yes you should change the fuel lines while the ski is still running good. also check your fuel selector switch, fuel filter and internal carb filters while you are at it. good peace of mind and will help keep you on the water rather than wrenching after a seized engine.

not sure about the changes for higher elevations, but an xo prop and R&D 85/88 nozzles are a great start at normal elevations.

    Welcome BINGO!

Yea, swap out the lines ASAP, even before it hits the water...I forget the size, but take a chunk of line to a local auto part store and match up the ID of the hose...get a whole ROLL, about 25ft....Get some new stainless steel clamps also...Swap out line for line, one at a time....remove, match up length, then swap....Better to do it now while you have time
