wear ring question
On a 1200-1300 gpr wear ring, what causes them to get out of round slightly?
Also, where is the best place to buy one, or what is a machine shop charging to make it take the plastic ones?

the water gets inside between the housing and the SS liner - corrosion, etc.

I just bought a new OEM one for $162 shipped. It was from the Ebay Riva store. I'm not sure if they have anymore but there are different options.
1) OEM new for $250
2) Buy one from Jim's online store
3) search classifieds on Greenhulk & pwctoday.com and hope to find a clean one
4) buy a new one-piece wear ring from Riva for around $300 (it's all one piece and should last much longer.
5) go to www.impros.com and check out their services. personally i don't have any experience with them, but it's an option.
The plastic sleeve may be a good option since you ride in salt.

I don't ride in salt, but the ski came from someone who did.

I now have a new one on its way, thanks Water Worx.
But, for my existing one, does anyone have the proper spec to have it machined for a plastic ring? Us SEADOO guys are hard to change...plastic saves you after a moment of poor judgement...
