    Gp1200r engine assembly

    I started to assemble my gp1200r engine, and i have 2 bolts that broke in the case ( one on each side of flywheel side of the case), what should i do ??

    Did you break these installing them? you need to get them removed and repair the holes if needed.

    i really need to dissamble everything ?? I tighten all the bolt and these two broke .

    Pull the rest of the bolts out and split the cases, you should be able to get ahold of the broken bolts with Vice grips once at this point. I will give you the new bolts to replace.

    is there any way to remove them without opening the case ??

    Pull it apart remove the broken bolts clean up everything and start over. Use the manual and follow all the torque specs.

    if you can't get them out with vise grips DO NOT try and drill them out - get in touch and I will figure out how to get them out (If I remember correctly it is using a EDM machine ????)

    Amine if you can't get them out, bring it down to me again. I will get them out no problem. I talked to Kevin also and he said "OK" on the other item. I am at home today.

    Most wire EDM shops have a machine called a Hole popper it like a drill press that burns rather then cuts. Works great for removing hardened items like broken taps and pins that you can't cut with a drill bit. We have one at work
