To ring or not to ring, that is the question?

I have torn down my 02 GP1200R motor. I have speced the motor out and everything is ok. My rings are close to being out of tolerance. The pistons and crank are in a little better shape, maybe one or two more seasons. Is it ok just to re-ring, or is it general practice to replace both? Or should I even bother replacing either?

Not a bad idea to re-ring while you are there. I would recommend deglazing the cyls tho so the new rings will seat.
