    Backfire on a 440

I'm trying to get this thing to run constant. Every now and the it pops and fires out the carb. Does this mean too much fuel, too much air, something else?

probably, a stator going bad or on its way out.

Stator is good but I'm putting a carb off of a 550 onto a 440 with a milled head. I don't really have much of a base line. It will run but not like I want it to.
