    What is this part, and why do I need it??

    What does this part do? I doesnt seem to attach to anything?? just looks like an extra 2lbs. to me.... Any reason to put it back on? Thanks

    It is what the power valve motor bracket was mounted onto.

    Very very hard to remove that peice from the hull. Even worse if you ride in salt water.

    u have no pv's so take it off if u want to save every pound u can.

    powervalve motor really? I should have taken a larger context of that pic. Thats on the top of the boat right below the dash, it gets covered up my the glovebox, right where the front seat tab slides under the bar. Thats the seat support bar in the photo.

    But if you still say powervalve, I beleive you!! Thanks for the help guys!

    Yep that is where the power valve motor was mounted, then the cables ran along the side of the hull to the rear cylinder pulley.

    powervalve motor is electric and connected to engine via 2 cables

    Sounds good, thanks for the advice guys! It had already been removed from my primary hull, just saw that oeice was on one of my trash hulls, and not on my production ski, just making sure i didn't need it for anything. Thanks as always guys!!
