    Need a Lift

I need a lift fot the ski. We're putting a new deck in the back yard and my current setu to store the ski isn't gonna cut it any more. I need one of the crane like lifts that mounts on a piling and can handle the RXP. Does anyone have any suggestions on one that is good?

Not looking forward to spending to dough on one but it's a necessity and will get many years of use so I'm willing to bite the bullet.

Of course I will post pics when the new set up is complete.

Or you can do like I did. Its all custom though.
Not a piling mount, but I designed it so nothing sticks up in the air obstructing views. Its electric.
Cost about $1000 for steel, lift motor, and accessories.

If you build one, use quality bolts and such, nothing worse than dropping a ski.

If you have any questions, just ask.

Unfortunatly I don't have any room for that type of lift but that is one of the sweetest set ups that I have seen. I was thinking of building a custom davit set up but wanted to see what waas avaliable first.

I basically have like a small dock to put the ski on cause all the other dockspace is taken up with boats.

I think I'm going to go with one of the Ace lifts they seem to be a good choice.

This is what I use. It's rated at 1000lbs.The one in the pic is not. But they do make one that is. All alumium. I take it in. In the winter and just leave the mount on the piling.http://www.monarchproducts.com/pwc.htm

I know were not supposed to tow the RXP but I really need to it would make life so much eaiser when heading out to the beach with friends.

It was a grand. But that was 3 years ago. Price may have gone up a little bit. If you want one it's cheeper to get one at a shop down by me. Factory direct is more. Don't know why.

Looks like it's a go for the monarch Davit. I found a dealer around here. Seems like the price went up a little to around 1400 but thats just about what I would end up paying for a different model that doesn't look as good with the shipping. I can't tell from the crappy picture on their site but is it painted white by any chance? We're putting in a bunch of PVC fence and if this thing is white it would be a good match.

Make sure it has the Hefty Hoist winch on it. It's a worm drive winch
