Stock Speedo correct!
I know alot of memebers said their stock speedometer was off + or-, I GPS`d my ski against the stock speedo, and other than it going about 6-7 mph before it starts to register speed, it was almost dead balls on with the Garmin GPS! maybe 1-3 tenths off at times, but I think that was due to chop...
Last weekend I hit 69 on the dreamo, didn`t have GPS with me.
This weekend, crazy wind, moderate chop, 65 degree water temp and 65 degree air temps, I went 66.2 on the GPS, had more throttle and rpms but was coming out of the water with the conditions. The stock speedo was really close to the GPS readings.
So I have to say that calmer conditions I would expect the GTX to run 69 again flat out!...PR...

I ran 66.4 GPS, full tank, on mild chop in the Rehobith Bay in DE and my ski is stock, cant wait to see what it will do on glassy water....

My 04RXP reads way too high, but the wife's 04 SC-LTD reads right on when compared to a GPS. I suspect that every unit is different and some of them just happen to be right.

I tossed my speedo about 20 lbs. ago, board shorts or similar now.

my speedometer is 2 mph slow up to about 60 then off a little more the faster I go until it reaches 69 then it stops. I hit it with compressed air one day and it stopped at 69 then too. I wonder if there is a way to unlock it so it will go on up to 80?

i'm wondering where the "lock" on the speedo is also... if it's in the speedo sender, the wiring, the relays, the MPEM, or what.
i need to replace my Speedo sending unit bc i snapped off my paddle wheel with my tie down on the trailer, so i'm curious to see if a new sender allows it to read higher speeds.

Can you replace the paddle wheel and its shaft??
I cannot find wheel or shaft on partfinder!

it has to be locked in the MPEM.
I have replaced just the paddle on the old hull GTX's, it's about $25.

Well I have the glove box and lid for the GPS installed, so I don`t have to hold it now, I`ll try some more readings later this weekend. Also the new Box and lid that`s avail thru BRP as an accessorie fits a little snug in the 04 GTX SC model...
If you compare side by side the 2 lids, the factory non GPS lid is a little more narrow and the edges are recessed, making a looser fit...PR...
