Arrow Reliability of 2005 Yamaha FX HO Cruiser?

I am looking at buying (2) Yamaha FX HO Cruisers that each have about 35 hours on them. They do not have anymore warranty left on them so I am pretty nervous about buying used. I used to have a 1993 Yamaha Waveblaster and I loved it. The worst I ever did was crack the waterbox, which I replaced easily. Can anyone tell me how good these FX HO's are on the reliability scale. I know that they are supposed to be one of the best skis on the water for fuel consumption, but what about reliability? Thanks for any help.

For fuel consumption get the VX110 if you are into getting 60 miles and have good fuel comsuption if you want more comfort get the FX HO. But the FX HO is better in speed and stability i owned an FX140 2002 and i have 80 hours on it and stills like brand new.

Also, is $12,000 a good price for (2) 2005 Yamaha FX Cruiser HO's with 35 hours on each and a Southsport double trailer with a diamond plate storage box? Thanks again!

We have three FX HOs in the family, all I can say is these skis are the most reliable skis we have ever had (and we have had a lot) Two of them have done around 100 hours now, one has had a set of spark plugs and thats it. Cheers

06 FXHO...200 hrs...flawless...just did the 200 service and will go to almost 300 then trade for another (SHO)...best family wagon as it has been a platform for me to spend hours with my son the cali delta and circumnavigate Lake Tahoe every summer. I think the 1100 is a stable engine and just keeps on going. Not being supercharged or turbo means not as much raw power but how fast do you really want to go with a kid? Sometimes I think the top end speed obsession takes away from the enjoyment. I have enough stress with work.

We pack it up and take off all day and search for places to hang out and do nothing. Not the fastest or the lightest (I also have a GP 1300 06" that is mine to shread with).

I think this is a great ski...the deal sounds good also.

Well, I went ahead and bought the two skis. They look and run great. I just dropped them off at the dealer to have them serviced to go on the water next weekend. Thanks for all the info!
