Anybody every tried a Vortex Bubble?
Several years ago on one of the forums (Riva I think) these photos were posted. I have never tried this. I think this is an old trick the jet boaters sometime use. I tried doing a search and I couldn't come up with anything which leads me to believe this is not that popular a mod.

Where on the bottom of the hull does it go?
Anything you stick on the bottom of the hull (protruding into the water greater than the hull) will offer some resistance to the water, creating a high pressure event at the leading edge of the stuck-on object... so, I would think that what you're talking about WOULD lift the hull more out of the water (pressure differential), but it'd probably just cause more drag than it would be worth.
I don't want to sound like a know-it-all, but i'm going to school for aerospace engineering, so I see plenty of fluid flow problems!
