Any riding Places???
Anyone know where there's a nice place to ride to enjoy the scenery maybe even some place to dock for lunch at a restaurant, in the Sarasota to Tampa area?? I've been out on the Alafia but not much to see! looking for something to do this weekend. any PWC Hangouts? some wave jumping??

You won't find a more scenic ride than the Suwannee River. Smooth as glass and the scenery is awsome. You ride through a 6' opening in the trees and about100 yds. back it opens up to a good size pool of clear fresh water coming out of a big hole in the ground. You can go up river or you can go down river to the gulf. Where there is a good place to eat. The best Key lime pie ever!! This is one of my favorite places to ride.
Here is where we stayed http://yellowjacketcampground.com/

We always went before kids got out of school for the summer. That way the natural pools were all ours. You might see 1 or 2 other boats on the whole river. There is a place a ways up river where everyone beaches their speed boats to show them off and party on the week ends.

I just noticed that John is drinking a coke. That is a rare shot. Normally it is a beer.
You can't tell from the pictures, in the middle is where the big hole is. The bottom of the hole is about 15' down. If you were to drop a Quarter down you would be able to see it. That is how clear the water is.

Anclote key, an island in the gulf right off of Tarpon Springs. There are barrier islands all along this section so the water is pretty calm. Great sugar sand beaches, good riding. Anclote Key park has 3 boat ramps, about 3 miles from there out to island. Just south of Anclote is Honeymoon, it is nice too.
