SLX Fuel Filter Question....
Fuel filter question for you guys..... Last year at the end of the year, I realized my SLX 780 didnt have an inline fuel filter installed.... ( I had bought the ski used late last summer, previous owner must have never put one in or something)
Anyway, I was going through everything today, getting it ready to start riding, and realized I never installed one last year. I also realized today that there was a filter inside the fuel/water seperator ( first time taking it apart).
My question is, since there is a filter inside the seperator, is it necassary to have an inline filter installed as well? If so, where is the best place to install it? How close to the gas tank? Thanks!

Most do run the additional inline. If you do, get a see through one so you can quickly see if it's dirty.

I feel better running an additional in-line fuel filter.

I'm not running one,but I'd say after the seperator,That way the water should already be removed and filter would be less likely to get gummed up by water created snot. Also the fuel would be flowing sorta downhill from the higher mounted seperator.
