Need help with 1100 rebuild with 1200 cylinders

I have a 1996 wave venture 1100 with a blown motor. I have already bought a new crank for it and last month, I bought a cylinder off e-bay, since I have a crack in my other cylinders sleeve. I sent it off to the machine shop last week and I just got a call from the machinist saying that the cylinder that I sent him to bore is actually a 1200 cylinder, not an 1100. I had also bought and sent to him a Wisco .5 piston kit to have the cylinders matched to.

My original idea was to rebuild the 1100 and enjoy it this summer and then during the winter, add a 1200 intake and carbs to it as well as a CDI.

I guess my question is, is there enough power gain by going to the 1200 cylinders and buying new pistons again, or should I stay with the 1100 and add the 1200 parts to it next winter?

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

Stock for stock you are looking at a 25hp difference. But, the 1200 swap will take alot more work and money. and be alot thirstier. My STOCK 200++ hour 1100 top end with 1200 carbs and ingnition will gulp a tank down in 45 minutes or less.

to do the 1200 swap to an 1100 bottom end, you will need:
    flywheel swap
    CDI swap
    drill 2 new pulse lines
    install complete 1200 intake tract

if you can find the parts and have the motor out anyway, and fuel useage is not a big deal, do the 1200 swap now.

I talked to the machinist and he said that he would be willing to sleeve my 1100 cylinder for exchange for the 1200 cylinder. I think ill go ahead and do that. Then later, ill add the 1200 flywheel, intake, reeds, and carbs. Are there and good 1100 heads out there or should I just have my head shaved for higher compression?
