    03 1100 STX Di Question

I bought a nice used 03 1100 STX Di and it's in great condition with only 53 hrs. I don't know much about these (my other ski is a GP1200R) and was wondering, are there any "must do" upgrades on this ski? I've read about the porpoising problem on these and was thinking about a rideplate? Any suggestions?

    Thx,
    Erik

They are great motors and should last as long as you care for it.

Thanks guys I appreciate it. I haven't even had it in the water yet but it's getting warmer. Maybe in the next couple of weeks

STX DI's don't porpoise at all. You can obtain good results with the GroupK rideplate mod and a 12/18 Solas Concord impeller.

Thanks Glen. Do you have an STX Di? I'm wondering what the approx top speed is on this ski.

Great tip Glen. I'm definitely gonna get the plate modded and the 12/18. I bought this 03 on ebay and got it for $4500. 53 hrs and almost showroom.

I believe there was a factory recall on the fuel sending unit for that model. Would be free to get it replaced.

Thanks jdog. If I give Kaw the HIN # would they be able to tell me if the recall work has already been performed?
