    Aluminum trailer options?

Triton wants $1,400 for a 2007 single place trailer with torsion axles. You have got to be kidding.

Anybody have a recommendation for a different brand?

I have a torsion axle, welded, galvanized, shoreland'r and LOVE IT. Smooth ride, and it is pretty light considering it's steel.

there is a reason that things that need to last for a long time and are made out of aluminum are riveted and not welded

airplanes, tractor trailers, boats to name a few

I have a 4 place trailer with 3 skis on it. I'll keep it for you.

Never been a big fan of aluminum trailers, galvanized seems to have better rigidity IMO. Last aluminum trailer I had developed several stress cracks and couldn't even sell it.

Single and double in aluminum, according to the Load Rite web site.

That is correct.... I have seen them both while being assembled at the plant. Very nice pieces.

Any decent pictures of the new aluminum designs online?
The Load Rite web site only seems to have little pictures.

I paid 975.00 for a galvanized double with 13" wheels from "mcclain trailers " in Houston. They make it right there dave. I prefer galvanized. They also sell axle parts if you want to replace your axle. I even bought an extra hub with bearings Gor that price and it has LED lights.

Thanks Billy. I'll probably give them a call. I'm just facing several hundred dollars in repairs/maintenance on my EZ Loader, and figured I would look into a bling aluminum job. But for $1,500 they can keep it. I'll fix up the old trailer and get it working like new.

I'm most concerned with the 12" rims and bias tires. I haven't found any 12" radial/rim combo, and 13's won't fit under my fenders.
