    Straight-Pipe Exhaust

Would this gain you anything...other than noise? And if so, would you have to re-tune your carbs in any way? Or could it cause engine damage?

Oohps...sorry. I just saw the other thread titled "waterbox". Guess that answers my questions...

Make sure you get the water out of the exhaust system when you're done so you don't miraculously fill the cylinder(s) with water.

You will not like it. Not a good sound. And when it dose rust through and leak then you will have a quickly sinking ski!!!! Water will fill the Hull quickly. just shut it off!!!

We took it out this past weekend with the pipe installed. It was obnoxiously loud. He, (my buddy who owns that machine), said it was quicker out of the hole. He thought it might be a touch faster at WOT as well, but I think it just seemed that way because of all the noise. He still couldn't keep up with my SLX...ha ha. I told him it sounded like an old Buick that had it's muffler knocked off and when we got home, he put his factory waterbox back on. He's saving for a TDR.

It prob was quicker out of the hole. Less water for the exhaust to expel as the waterbox was missing. Jetworks valve will help keep that part of the gain.
