This is the place for Polaris PWC information.

    Polaris model history

The Virage hull is considered one of the better hulls Polaris made. Best on flat to mildly rough water.

The Virage with twin cylinders is not as fast as the triple cylinder 1200 models, but it is not a slow boat, either.

The Polaris domestic twin and triple engines are generally quite reliable, and the twins provide very good fuel economy.

Are you looking at a carburetted model, or fuel injected? Two or three cylinder?

If you do some searching on here, you will find comments and information from other Virage owners.

you're looking at roughly 45-47 mph.

The 2000 Virage has the Domestic twin which for the most part is a very reliable engine. It's easy to perform some mods, good on the gas and strong for a twin.
The Virage hull is time proven and works well with the twin engine as a matter of fact it tows better than the trippple cylinder 1200 in terms of a smoother more linear pull. It always seems right when you're at a good tow speed the 1200 comes on the pipe and your speed is too high.
If you aren't going to tow and want it more for speed the 1200 Virage is what you're looking for.
If it's a good all around cruiser with good fuel economy and don't worry too much about top speed the twin rocks!!
