Does reverse work with the Riva ride plate?

I noticed the bottom of the reverse bucket hits the plate so it doesn't drop as far as stock and the plate sticks further out the back. Will I be able to get my ski off the trailer? Must not be a problem as I haven't seen any discussion.

Just barly works. It does work though. You may want to back in just a bit further.

Ditto, I realized that last time I was out, not the same reverse power with the Rive plate but it's all good!

If you notch the reverse bucket where it hits the plate it works like stock.

I actually just got back off the water, I kinda like that the reverse is muted a bit, at idle, it actually makes it like a neutral. Still had reverse at throttle, but pulling up to the dock was very easy. I think I will leave mine alone for now and not mod the reverse bucket.

Just my 2 cents....an we all know what that will get ya....shit

Thanks guys - I'll try it as is and if I need more pull I'll notch the bucket. Was hoping to get the machine out of hibernation today but have to work - oh well, maybe soon!

BTW, did the intercooler and CC breather mods without a hitch and then as the last thing was installing the filter under the glove box and dropped a socket in the hull and I could hear it roll way under the engine!! Need to find my magnet on a stick and get it out. Always has to be some sort of problem!

Pics Of Notching the Reverse Bucket

Anyone have pictures on how they notched the bucket, would be a big help.

Now that I read this and I think about it, the reverse does work less effective with the ride plate. It didn't really dawn on me until I read this thread. We did the Riva plate on ours.
