    UPS rate increase

Just received a notice that UPS on Monday is having a rate increase 8% on ground delivery and 25% on air delivery, The price of gas is killing us and it seems like there is no end to the gas prices.

I bet that was not a rate increase. That is the new FSC for May. In April it was probably 19% so it only went up 6%. Still more expensive. You will se more FSC addons on more and more things in the future,

Since I have sold off all my shares and invested in bigger and better things, the Post Office is definitely the way to go..

    Hey Jim,

Do you use Worldship?? I did not get that notice

We ship daily UPS with Worldship 9.0 and i get all the email on this kind of stuff.

Post office is out of control and super slow.

I shipped off a GP12R CDI box and harness. 8.95 usps. I asked for a quote for UPS at my local shipping outlet, it was 22.20 UPS and 17.56 DHL.

USPS Flat Rate is the way to go for now for me also....

I just sent something to a member a couple of states away, less than 2 pounds and 15.71 bc of fuel surcharges.
this is only the beginning. The UPS lady told me they were going to increase monday also...
good thing I sold most of my stuff last year...

that makes sense about usps..uncle sam pays their fuel bill so no increases 'cause the gov't won't catch on for another year they are so slow...

i am going to see if i can automate my usps and flow it right into a truck for daily pickups ...but i'll charge my customers ups rates and get rich!.. hey whats wrong with that, the oil company's do it ?!?

joking. I hate the oil companies. I like the workers, we have some on this forum, but i REALLY fuckin hate the Leadership (my peer group). Anyway if i can do the postal trailer thing and save my customers money then i'm doin' it. Customers will have to agree to no claims first 'cause usps tracking sucks.

I better notify them of increased surcharges.. i use worldship and some automated feeds to ups so i need to find out about this..

    thanks Jim.
