    Wink speed run methods?

Just curious as to how you guys do a speed run when gps testing as our boat always seems a little slow, we use a radar gun (stalker) but always test on our man made jetski lake which at its longest is only about 400-500 meters bank to bank so we have to get to speed and slow enough to turn.
My question i guess is how long do you kep them pinned at wot to get top speed and how much does it creep up in mph at the top end as we get to around 77-78 and then it levels off and its time to slow down so dont know if it will keep going up or not.
the ski is rxp-x with the 04 motor riva ecu 50# c kit intercooler etc and we have tried all sorts of props best one being a pitched up stock p-x prop or 14-19 pitched way up.

You definitely need more room to test 500M does not give you enough room to get the best trim setting. How are you going 77-78mph with an RXP-X without overstuffing, have you modified the intake grate?

I wondered about this also when I first started doing testing since I was only getting 64-65 mph from the stocker. Seems like I picked up 2-3 mph by:

    Running the gas almost empty
    Adjusting trim
Adjusting riding position (some do superman, but mine porpoises too much)
    Getting a good long run
    Let the motor cool first
Make sure the oil level is not too high

You may also try removing the seat, front storage buckets and fire extinguisher.

I put my knees on the rear deck with legs hanging off and try to pull up and back at the same time.

I've always been curious about this. . .I do all my top speed runs in 2 spots-the longer is maybe 150yards or so.
