    I raced a couple gpr's yesterday

I have a stock 04 rxp with 75hr on it. The first race was bewteen my buddys stock 06 gpr. I pulled on him badly out of the hole prob 6 skis or so and just kept gaining. We then ran from about 40 and I slowly pulled about 3 skis in front of him. I stayed in front I prob had hime by 2mph or so if I had to guess. The next race bewteen anothere friends 06 gpr. He has had work done though. He has impeller, ride plate, trim tabs and a intake grate. Once again I got him badly out of the hole and stayed prob about 4-6 skis in front the whole race. We raced again from 40 or so and were dead even. On top end the skis had to be within a 1/100 of a mph lol. Anyways he plans on doing some more mods so guess where my rebate check is going.

Yeah it felt good because my friend talked alot of shit on his gpr and even though were even up top it had to hurt his feelings that he got murdered on acceleration. The only bad things is his pockets are a lil deeper then mine and we both have a need for speed. So I will keep you guys updated. Hopefully in the next month or so I will have a thru hull exhaust and stage 1. I think he is plan on doing a cat delete on his. If anybody is in the md area and knows there way around a rxp some install help would be awesome

Cheap mods ... 1. Sand and 'polish' the rideplate (not mirror, use 400 grit as final), worth .5 mph+ if totally smoothed and matched to intake grate. 2. Wedge, adds 1 mph and a drier ride, $100 (less used). 3. Good air intake, home-made 4 inch to the front can be done very cheaply and definitely adds 1 mph+. If you do all these mods and are hitting the rev limiter (more than 8150 rpms), you can pull the stock impeller and bend the trailing edge 1mm or so as needed.

Very little money for the above and you can quite easily gain 3 mph. If you are unsure about how to do any of the above, use the Search function ... you will find all the info you need. Also post where you live, you might find a GH member close by that is an experienced RXP modder and can help.

What speed (GPS) and rpms are you turning now? OH, and you ARE running metal SC washers right!??!
