    Battery Boosting/Charging 720

I notice the decals saying not to boost the battery in my 95' XP 720, what damage can be caused by charging without disconnecting the battery or jumpstarting it? In other words whats with the label?

Ok, I put it on a 2 amp. But what will happen if I go over 6 amps? And what about using a jumper box on it? We did take it out yesterday for a couple hours.. and had to shut down & restart it a few times when switching riders but it lasted till we were done went to restart it to put it on the trailer and click.. got it home and jumped it with the jumper box and started right up, charging the battery again on it right now.

if you charge it with it hooked up you could blow up the MPEM. thats why there is a warning.
Oh, and Dan, thanks for helping my girl with the Pro-x piston sale! props bro!

I was told by a battery guy that the little batteries boil when you go above 2 amps and the warranty is voided

I charge batterys in the ski all the time,I never go over 6 amps & never had a problem blowing the mpem.

I also use a jump box A LOT,it is ok.

NEVER jump from a running car,the alternator on cars puts out like 60/100 amps & will hurt a mpem.

When you blow the MPEM will it not start or crank ect? or just not charge?

When I get home I am planning on trying to diagnose the problem with it... I installed a used stator/magneto and flywheel as the old ones blew up from the crank bearings being shot on the old motor.. it runs pretty good though..
