    SLT 700 gps results

Ok, well took it out again with a GPS to find out what it was running. Was about 45 F out, little cold but not bad, and a little choppy, but managed to get up to 48 mph pretty easy with one person on it. Does this sound about right for this ski?? Its only rated I think at 85 hp, and I imagine it could do over 50 on a calm warm day, so seems decent to me? Seems to be running good, only problem so far is the bilge pump wont work, after replacing it even.

Since you have replaced the bilge pump, you need to check the voltage present at the connector to the pump.

The LR23 or LR52 voltage regulator supplies power via the Orange wire to the bilge pump when the engine is running.

There is a 3 AMP fuse in the orange wire to the pump. Check the fuse.

Check for 12 volt power at the orange wire, while the engine is running.

Don't run the engine without cooling water for more than a few seconds. Connect your multi-meter, then start the engine. Check for voltage, then shut the engine off pronto.

Also check that the black ground wire from the pump is good, and is solidly connected to the battery negative (engine ground).

After riding it hard for 2.5 hours, lots of wot, used half a tank of gas... seems pretty good to me as far as mpg goes for this thing. Also got it airborn a few times with two people on it, alot of fun! Haha.
