Duramax exhaust ?
I have a 05 GMC 2500HD crew cab short bed with 143,000 miles and want to go to a 4 inch exhaust. I already have a Hypertech programmer and a K&N cold air kit. I think I'm choking it with the stock pipe and a Magnaflow muffler.
The question is which exhaust will give me more power AND mileage?
I don't want to pay for stainless.
And is there a performance difference between a straight pipe and a muffler?
How loud is a straight pipe? No I don't want one.

From what I have read and heard, I would go with Dynomax if they make what you are wanting. I have used their products on gas engines and they build an EXCELLENT product.

I bought the MBRP 5" aluminized exhaust from motor back for under $400.00 . It is about twice as loud as stock and alot quiter than without muffler. It sounds like a high power gas motor and not a diesel.

Make is loud bro. Loud pipes are def the way to go. I love hearing my exhaust over the be-bopping music of the import next to me.
