opinions on air filter kits
hi guys, new to the rxp, just bought an 07 215 hp,looking to do an airfilter kit for starters, see alot of used riva kits on here, are the r&d kits any better over the riva kits, i noticed the tube isnt nearly as long on the r&d compared to the riva, also what are you guys referring to "free mods"i saw the topic on the waterbox mod,any others im missing?thanks for any suggestions, bob

Do a search and you'll find many. You can gut the waterbox and if you know a welder or are one yourself it is relatively unexpensive. FILL THE RIDE PLATE HOLES. This is good for some cheap speed. On the air filter question, I would actually just build a custom 4 inch intake. Do a search, but with less than 100 dollars worth of hosing, 3 to 4 inch reducer clamps, and stainless steel filter you will benefit more rpm gains.

The r&d set up is straight off the sc but draws hot air...I don't see that being much of a + vs the oem. The "kit" to buy for an rxp driver is the riva rear air...not the " 3"power intake whatever"...however...if you're riding in salt you'd be better off building your own 4" front intake.
Welcome to the forum...search and most likely you shall find.
