Is it true that pulling something with the ski might be a bit stressful for a pwc engine??

What type of conditions will most of your riding be done in? Rough or smooth? Both skis can be very reliable.

90% of my time would be on a lake and 10% on the ohio river but i would not be pulling anyone on the ohio.

The MSX hull will give you a smoother and more stable ride.It would also be more stable with a spotter riding with you during towing. The pro doesn't require any special tools to troubleshoot problems.

I will say that the MSX hull is amazing. I've ridden my MSX 150 just twice now, but wow, what a difference in handling and just overall rideability. I had a 97 SLT700 prior to the MSX, it's like night and day difference! And if you pulled a tube or whatever, you wouldn't be able to legally on a PRO 1200 being they are only a 2 person ski. Gotta have a 3 person ski to pull anything...

    Two totally different animals.
The Pro is great for ripping around and taking small trips.
If you want to tour, take the family, run at different elevations, tow toys the MSX winds hands down.
Extended tours or ugly water the ergonomics of the MSX is also much better and let's not get into storage room.
