    06 rxt supercharger

I'm in the process of removing my supercharger. I removed the 3 bolts according to the 05 rxt/p instructions but the supercharger wont slide off. Are there different bolt locations for an 06? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

be sure you removed the 3 that are holding the SC housing to engine. It is easy to think you have on the bottom but actually it can be one of the bolts holding the SC housing together.
If not I do know some that have had trouble removing there SC for the first time. I did not have that problem. Maybe one will chime in.

yep make sure you remove the correct bolts.
One I did that, lightly rotated the SC and it started to come out.

If you can see the bolts the two bottom bolts that are retaining the SC you are most likely removing wrong bolts.

When you get the corrects bolts the SC will rotate. Rotate it and pull to get it out. There are 2 0-rings that make it hard to pull straight out so you have to wiggle and rotate.

I just removed my SCs from my 06 RTX and GTX the bolts are in the same location. One differance is they have an 8mm hex head instead of torx.

    I got it...

Thanks for the input. I read the instructions and it clearly stated not to confuse the housing bolts...I made my self aware of this, but I ended up removing a housing bolt instead of the secure bolts. It was the bottom one. I did get the supercharger out now . That waterbox strap is a pain! Any suggestions for the future?? BTW I used my bare hands...I couldn't quite get the correct angle with a pliers.

    Thanks again,

    Andrew

You can put a slot in a flat blade screw driver, It worked for me. I don't know how well it will work on the reinstall. I will find out when I get my SCs back. Some one else in a previous thread suggested the method.
