Do a quick search on Boost Guages under 4-tec performance and you'll find some installs.
I'm thinking that yes, the silicone is needed, just like seadoo puts on.

Just make sure it is not smeared on the bottom of plate or hull, Because if it is it will create drag and you will lose speed so make sure you clean it up good. Thank you, Jim

If you have a 80 mph ski, add jim's rideplate can you also run a 2 degree wedge? Or will it porpose?

I am wondering the same thing. If you add jim's rideplate mod to an 80mph ski with the wedge does the bounce get worse even with riva pro b/o's?

I have not noticed any bounce since adding Jim's modded plate. I use the RE blockoffs and have the wedge.
