Arrow Polaris bearing grease - what is it compatible with?

What type of grease does Polaris use/sell for the through-hull and stator bearings?

The Service manual for my 2002 Virage says to use Polaris Premium All Season Grease Part# 2871423

Is this Polaris stuff just normal Lithium-base wheel/bearing grease, or something more 'water proof'?

I am guessing it is NOT a special calcium-based waterproof grease - correct?

I just don't want to inject something incompatible, and have the grease turn to liquid goop inside the bearings!

This is what is in my Triton Elite trailer wheel bearings (well, this is what the Triton dealer uses to top the bearings off, looks the same as what is in the bearings).
    Doesn't mention waterproof

Is there an NLGI code for the Polaris grease?

Make sure you use a waterproof grease. That Castrol is just a regular wheel bearing grease. I would make sure you use waterproof grease in the wheel bearings of the trailer also.

Would that be the Amsoil Synthetic Water Resistant Lithium Complex Grease (GWR)?

Hmmm, where am I going to find that around here...

Seems the places near here have either marine/water resistant grease, OR name branded wheel bearing grease. The few marine greases I have found/looked at locally seem to be rather vauguely described on the packaging. Even the West Marine grease products seem generic.

I want something I can trust.

Could Triton be so silly as to use/spec non-waterproof grease in a boat trailer axle?

Am I going to have to change out the grease, just to be sure?
I suppose there is no way to tell what grease type is really in there...

The AMSOIL can be shipped right to your house. If the grease says marine it should be water resistant.

They may have put in a marine grease and the dealership is just using what they can find locally. There is know way to be sure what is in there. I have to do mine this year again also. I guess I will have to wait till Al does his first.
