    MFD Swap

Anyone know if you can swap out a MFD out of a sl780 and replace it with a virage or genesis MFD?

Physically, the MFD vs the MFI are rather different sizes and shapes. MFI is much larger.

Electrically, I think it could work. Would need to check all the signals and pin connections. There would be a few that would need to be skipped, or wired differently, like the Genesis electric reverse indicator, and the security start lock-out feature.

I think that adapter is just for switching from the old round style to the newer wider MFD.

Shouldn't doubt Randy. The round uses the same connector as the ovalish shaped style.

    Adapter

The adapter is for using the Pro-1200 style MFD in the earlier 785 pro 8 pin wiring harness. (just like it says). But I am 99% sure that it will monitor Rpm correctly when connected to a MSX style MFD also.. I have no idea what other functions will work when connected.. Maybe somebody cvan look up the Polaris service update on this part?
