    Turbo Kit Question

For the Turbo people: Did you guys changed your head gasket to a copper gasket once your turbo kit was installed or it is not necessary to do that once you go turbo?

I am not trying to get anybodys info here so feel free not to answer if you want to, I am just curious about how reliable this set is so here it goes: How much boost are you guys boosting? What riding style do you guys do? How many hours of abuse on your set-ups? What is the drawback of this set-up? Are you guys running the Riva racing engine mounts? THANKS any info is appreciated....

I run 20 lbs on my RXP and 24 lbs on my GPRXP. Both have stock head gaskets and bolts. Both seem reliable so far but i don't have much time on them.

The only drawback i can think of is increased fuel usage but after the first time you nail the throttle you will quickly forget about that.

There is no such thing as Riva engine mounts. I do run the Piranha front mount on both of my skis. It's all that's needed.

Is there any difference between Rotax racing front mount and piranha mount. I want to get a solid mount, but want to know if there is a reason between the 200 dollar difference.

The Rotax Racing mounts are not the same height as stock and cause alignment issues if you don't shim it properly. Also, they are nearly double the price of the Piranha mount and the price recently went up again so i removed them from my online store.

I use the Piranha mounts on my skis and have never had a problem.

Jerry Riva sells all 3 engine solids engine mounts on their store thats why I said that. My friend broke all his mounts over 200 hours of used and destroyed his drivetrain system and cranckshaft, repairs was costly and still ski is not running right. Since the turbo kit puts out so much torque I was thinking it will be wise to upgrade all mounts...

What are the benefits to a copper gasket, if its not needed to run the boost levels that your at now?
