04-05 Riva ECU ACTIVATION
Quick question for those of you who have run or are running Riva ECU's.
I just opened and installed mine tonight and was planning on running it all day tomorrow but I didn't realize you need an activation code from riva in order for the dealer to activate it. I'm planning on having it activated before I ride tomorrow. The problem is that on one of the two sheets that was sent with the ECU it says that activation codes can only be gotten monday-friday??? Is that true or will Riva give it to me if I call tomorrow morning? This better no be true...
Also any other tips if there could be any would be appreciated!

Yeah, seadoo has to be contacted for the code and they are only open mon-fri.

I believe your dealer has to call Riva with your HIN, and then Riva will get the activation code from BRP.

crap so its definitely not possible to ride this weekend then?
If running the riva ecu is not possible for tomorrow, how bad would it be to run 50# injectors tomorrow? Full stage 3 no ecu.

Nope, seadoo has to void your warranty, then give the activation code to Riva so they can tell your dealer how to activate it. They will also need the ECU's SN#. I think it will work, it will just be real rich. If it will idle ok...run it (may foul plugs tho ).

I was thinking it was something like that, I just sent my TB and stock ECU to Riva for the activation. It was much better for me rather than having the local dealer half ass it.

I did mine on a Sat. last year. I had an appointment set up with Parker Yamaha/Sea Doo for A.M., for ecu activation. They wanted the ski for a couple of hours. Just like you, I had everything already installed, brought them all the Riva instructions, and the buds update disk that Riva supplied with my kit. Picked up my ski at noon, both white and yellow keys re-programed, not a hickup. A little pricey I thought, $200, but everything is perfect. Good luck

just to understand the process.
You can bring it to a BRP shop and they can program the ECUs and keys for around $200
Now can you send the stock ECU to Riva wher ethey can activate/program the ECU and keys and send it back to you?

Yes, you can send your stock ECU, lanyards, throttle body and new ECU to Riva for activation.
