    Cool Another Turbo RXP

Blasted the bayou today on a fresh turbo set-up Stock ecu 07 w/ 55# inj. running 41psi base on the rrfpr and hitting maybe 12-13psi boost. Time was running short and I just wanted to drop it in the water b4 dark, so it had a 15/20 in it. Holy crap, 8260rpm right away if already on plane (talk about HARD ON THE LIMITER) of course I don't hold this for more than a half-second or so. Tommorow afternoon I will install the 15.5/22.5 scat and re-calibrate the LC-1 (it was acting fishy and I never saw leaner than 9.9 at wot, even bringing the pressure down to 35psi base. I just don't believe it. I got all of 40 mins on it today, maybe after the M-day bbq we will toss them in the water and tune a bit.

Sounds like it is making alot of power to turn a 15-20 that hard. I would like to read more results.

What kind of turbo are you running. And just curious what optimal boost numbers you should see with a turbo

It's missing the "punch" out the hole for the 1st 2 seconds, after that, it's movin' out big time. It's mothers' day, and we got a lot of mothers here so I gotta bbq and then it's time for the turbo prop and LC-1 re-cal Jerry I hear ya about the 50s but I don't wanna jack w/ the 80mph "everyday" ski that NEVER lets me down. The 50s are in it, and they stayin' there for now. RX951, I am sure there will be plenty turbos for u to ride, but I must warn u, your gonna want one

running the turbo kit as it comes from the online store, and it can make 30psi (but u won't want that much) . pound for pound of boost the turbo feels better up top, there is no hp loss at the flywheel from turning the s/c (overdriving the crap out of it). Ohh yea, can't wait to put synthetic oil in this ski.. I feel better already

Ok, I have NO patience for POS LC-1 (calibrated out the box...yea right)...did the free-air cal blah blah blah

So, reading the plugs, I got it up to 15-15.5 psi (spikes to 17+ when boost comes on) and still not lean I am gonna want a working wide-band b4 I crank it up anymore, but I gotta tell ya now, using the stock nozzle, and only t-stat, intercooler, strainer and rrfpr and turbo from the store w/ the 15.5/22.5 (untouched) got me 82.8 mph at 8100.

The mid-range feel of this thing is freakin' unreal! The X boat has a nice holeshot, but to feel like u are holeshotting at 40mph is somthing u don't really feel on a ski...unless it's turbo'ed Less than 16 psi and I am sold, what a wuss huh? More than A/F tuning at this point, I will need to pitch the prop as well
