    ? for the Guru's HELP!

    need some technical help guyd! i belive it is called the pump shoe or tunner but im interested in the plastic blades that u see when u take the pump off .. i was told they have something to do with the swirl of the water who knows!... but my question is what do these blades do and how necessary are they... might have mashed one up... or 2

    believe so they are stuck to the hull they dont turn stick out about 2.5 inches into the tunnel.. they are black . lol?

    If you have some chewed up then cut them all off clean and file smooth.
    It will have no affect on the pump .

    No he meant the plastic sharks fin in the tunnel of power.

    lol.. YES! couldnt of said it better myself. it is before the prop (closer to engine) in the 'tunnel of power' lol

    so yea a chunk of intake great snapped off and tore up a few of these 'plastic shark fins' what are they for and how do i fix them.. what effect will i have if i cut them out...

    The viens do "change" a bit of how the water comes outa the pump.

    I remember seeing an add for a high dollar pump with more veins than a stock one...supposed to help hole shot...but hurt top end.

    Post up some pics...lets see the carnage!

    yea i will have to post a pic.. its before the pump its on the actuall tunnel like the first thing after the intake grate

    once they get damaged, everybody has just cut them all out...
    VAred, i think the extra pump veins help out AFTER the impeller, not so sure the ones in front of the impeller really make any difference
