    Catch can mounting location?

I think I want to buy a catch can. Looking at the pictures, it looks like the catch can mounts somewhere by the exhaust manifold on the 2004 RXP? Are there holes there or do you have to drill and tap them out? How hard is installation?

the catch can is held by the 2 bolts in the very end closest to the front of your ski on the exhaust manifold.........remove those two bolts and add the bracket then tighten them back up......cut down and then add the hose from the breather to the catch can.........make sure if u have the stock air intake that u plug the hole u leave in the air intake tube when u remove the hose from the breather to the air intake tube.....good luck!

Thanks, so the bolts are on the exhaust manifold? Install looks easy, is this so? 15 minute job?

yes the two end bolts that hold the exhaust manifold..its easy enough but i didnt time it.....as well look at your catch can and familiarize yourself with which way is closed and open because u cant read it after its in and u really cant even see where u drain it...u just put a cup under the thing and turn the arm to empty it......good luck Friend!

Don't mean to hijack the thread but I installed catch cans on my N/A engines. I noticed the other day when I was out on the lake that some very minor smoke was coming out of the filters. Is this normal?

It's funny.... I've only had blowby when my engine was sick? My 06 and 08 have had no blowby or leakage out of the hose. Must just be lucky
