    turn low oil light OFF when using premix??

    ok ,so i just got a 2000 gp1200r and it is running premix .
    oil tank removed ,what or how do i fix the "no oil" light ???
    does anybody know the ohms reading of the oil sender -low and full readings??

    take the sender out, zip tie the float in the UP position, reinstall

    i dont evan think that the sender is there
    i will double check 2night
    so no "radio shack" way of tricking it
    i guess if it bothers me so much i could put a sender back in and zip tie it

    I just jumped the 2 wires together.
    I'm sure there are very creative ways to do it but I just cut the plug off and soldered/heat shrunk the wires together.

    with the floats in the UP position, it reads .4 OHMS [full]
    with the floats in the DOWN position, it reads 299.8 OHMS [empty]

    ah the magical numbers i wil try 1 of my spare polaris 33 ohm resitors and that should do it......

    I would just short it together... the difference of .4 to zero is so small.. i wouldnt bother with another item to go bad... just speaking as an electrician....

    +1 except I just used the crimp on splices like on trailer wires and jumpoed a wire between done all mine like this allows me to convert back if I want to.

    just sodiered the wires together on the SUV and it worked great.
