You really don't even need it (unless you flip alot) It will restrict your airflow= Performance

    missing part

I figured I needed it. My ski blows a little oil from the air cleaner area when Its running. I figured the part moved the oil to the crank. I don't have any power loss when ridden so I figured it wasn't a bad engine.

You may want to check your reeds,How much oil are you getting,Can you snap a picture?

    1994 polaris

I'm not sure what the reeds are. It has rained here so the oil has disappeared. I was sprayed on the back (sprayed like mud around a wheelwell) like it was blown out the air outlet on the seat. It was the first time the ski had been in the water this year.

Maineak, sounds like you have something wrong. Are you sure it's coming from the Flame Arrestor? If so, it may be bad reeds as mentioned. If it looks like grease/oil, then it may be your engine coupler slinging grease. There should be a plastic cover over the engine coupler. The open end of the cover should face down. ALSO: be sure to grease the engine coupler and bearing if you're unfamiliar with these skis.

    And welcome to the Hulk.

    Slinging grease

The ski does have the coupling but it is facing up towards the seat. There is a 1 inch gap between the sides of the rubber. It looks like grease not oil on the back of the ski. It doesn't do it idling but when I had it in the water it spotted the back of the ski.

Item #4 rotate it so the gap faces the hull. Also make sure there is a grease nipple in item #1 and #8
