    Just a friendly suggestion...

If you are going to wake board, take it over to the big lake next door to the bayous.

The wakeboard is ridden sideways, which is similar to snowboarding. In fact, the principle of wakeboarding is taken from surfing, snowboarding and water skiing. The board has to be steered by a touching both sides' edges to the water. The rider often moves from the wake's outside, then cuts quickly into the wake. A wake is actually a series of ripples or whitewash the boat created.

WFO-agreed, even at proper levels I would never use the bayou area where camps are located to do such.

I grew up there, and have more than enough common sense, "Even though Common Sense is not that Common anymore", to
continue to use proper locations for wakeboarding. Each year we used Palourde to do tubing etc.

I was curiuos about the wakeboard to try to help my son get a good start. This will be his first time out on attempting.

I bought a DVD called Higher education I + II it is an instructional DVD on how to wakeboard. I taught my Son with this, it really was excellent in their approach. I have loaned it to several people they all loved it, great investment for beginners and up.

What I liked most was it taught both the boarder and the driver. We had him up in no time then kept going back and watching a little more and doing the next lesson it was a great time I will never forget.
