    riva valve springs

queston , i just installed the riva valve springs ,i have found that when putting the head back on its hard to turn the cam in to position , ! is this normal ! the head had to come off due to valve replacement , any input would be great, also metion that turning the cam while the head is off to put the cam locking tool in so i hadnt hit the vales against the pistons

With the rocker shaft and rockers removed from the head the cam will rotate freely so that you can insert the cam locking tool.
