Riva Wedge Results Good and Bad

I got around to installings Rivas wedge yesterday and was going crazy with the results at first. I put it in the canal and picked up 1.5 mph on the gps ( I installed a Race Tech Exhaust at the same time not sure what difference it made ). The 1.5 mps was great but the way the ski was pulling when racing a buddy of mine was more than I expected. Even if he launched better I would cathch up to him and pull on him about 2 to 3 skis which I had never done before against him.

Now for the bad, the ocean. What a mission to keep it in the water, the race against my friend completely changed now he was beating me by 2 or 3 ski lenghts and if I couldnt get it steady at the beginning he would just keep going because I couldnt keep it in the water.

My thoughts are that the wedge does work, if it helped that much in the canal it should do the same in the ocean but I need to find a way to keep it from jumping around. Don't know how big of a difference sponsons and pro series block offs will do along with the vts extension when they arrive but if it hooks up its definately worth the 100 bucks. I even thought about putting in a more aggressive grate like R&Ds or Worx to help it hook up better in the ocean but fear that it may drag away a couple miles on flat water.

I forgot to ask if you did the reverse bucket mod after installing the wedge

Bro, who told you this?? my buddy stage II + RXP ran 76.2 MPH in Gps in FLAT water yesterday with his fuel tank full in 95 deg air with a R&D intake grate with his "slow" (14) series solas prop since his bad a$$ tweaked by GH 15/20R prop is still in his garage.

I was always under the impression that both R&Ds and Worx were meant more for the ocean and chop compared to rivas

The Riva grate is best for top speed.
