nobody has talked about it yet , but you bring up a good point it is somthing that should be looked at and adjusted if needed there could be slight performance gains in there not shimmed properly ! Im waiting to do mine once we start testing out cams !

After my S/C belt shredded the s/c wasn't spinning (obviously). I could hear the valves tapping slightly. Ever figure out how to adjust them? I read the manual and mentioned using shims. Have you done a 250 yet?

Seems like any shim-under-bucket motorcycle engine(or auto engine for that matter).
Measure at #1(in1,3 ex1,2) and #4 TDC(in2,4 ex3,4 or the ones you didn't check yet ), write down the clearances.
If out of spec adjust with the chart on page 2-22 for intake and 2-23 for exhaust.
Checking is easy but adjusting is a bit more work.
You have to yank the cams to access the buckets, and not drop anything down into the crankcase

    VALVES

Spoke to our Local Mechanic at Gables Motorsport in Miami and he says that all the ones hes checked so far are okay. Gave me the impression that its really something you shouldnt worry about unless it's making noise or if you really want to spend the dough.

Also the Coupler is interesting cause manual say's to check every 100 hrs and to really check you need to pull engine, That is crazy but same Mechanic told me he's never seen one go.

I get the feeling that Kawasaki is just making sure the Extra HP does not destroy the Coupler but another Service which would be crazy to do if you really want to see it's condition?
