AWA members: Are you a 1st responder to a water related incident?
Here is a great example of why we provided the AWA - K38 PWC Safety day recently in Virginia on Lake Anna! Many recreational PWC riders will at some point in time respond to a water related incident and provide the lifesaving contact that people in distress need. You may never think it will happen to you, but once again, the news items show that recreational riders are also first responders!

Diver checks out small plane after crash
(NECN: North Bay Village, Fla.) - Three people are recovering from minor injuries after a small plane crashed in South Florida waters near a roadway.
Miami Fire-Rescue Spokesman Ignatius Carroll says the single-engine plane crashed in waters near the 79th St. Causeway on Sunday afternoon.
The cause of the crash hasn't been determined. Salvage operations are underway.
Officials say the pilot and two passengers aboard got out of the aircraft after it went down, and beachgoers on personal watercraft brought them to shore.
Carroll says the plane was traveling from the Bahamas to Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport.
