    800CC Twin Piped SLTX

So I have a twin engine that I need to assemble after a little accident.
I also have a set of trippples minus one pipe so I guess I have some twin pipes for an SLTX.

    Any comments, ideas or suggestions??

It would be cool to see Al, but with a twin/twins, you are reaching a point of diminishing returns. A twin is much happier with a single pipe than a tripple is. You obviously won't see the gains that you would with a tripple/tripple setup. I guess it depends on how happy the 800 twin is on the stock single. If it is a good pipe, the gains may be minimal. IMO, you'd also have to prop the boat down a bit to get the proper RPM...it's not going to power through it like a domestic tripple/tripple will. Again, this is just my opinion...it would be neat to finally see someone do this.

I totally agree, but like you, I want to see how it works...or doesn't work.
My guess is if I do everything JUST right I can get her to run 57-58.
I'm also guessing I can get 110HP out of this combination, I may be dreaming but I see it like this.
    95HP out of the 800
5HP out of the Black Jack's
    10HP out of the pipes
I'm hoping for very few modifications when it comes to pipe fitment but we'll have to see.

Maybe a T3 turbo for a extra kick?

I think that sounds pretty close, honestly. FYI, the new CFI IQ 800 snowmobile makes about 150, bone stock, with a single...Twins are said to be worth about 10-12hp on that setup too.

Obviously you wanna try this for sh!ts and giggles because you already have everything in your stock pile, but you haven't mentioned how the modified single pipe is working out on the 700 twin. It would also be the answer for the 800 twin, wouldn't it?

The modified single pipe is installed but untested, hence the reason I haven't updated.
I'll be out for hip surgery on the 2nd and have 6 weeks recoup time.
I plan on using that down time for play and testing.

You are too young to need a new hip. What the hell happened? Too much freestyle in the surf?
I do wish you the best w/ the surgery and recovery.

My buddy had the hip replacement surgery two years ago. He had one leg a tiny bit shorter and they fixed that also. He is better than ever and playing soft ball and basket ball. He was 35 when he had it done. He wished he got it done sooner. he was in agony for quite a few years. Good Luck Al, you'll be back better than ever.
