    '06 RXP problem

Was riding sat. and had something go out in my ski. Was running 8140 rpms on flat, calm water and the ski started surging and the rpms fell out, shut it down immidiately and called the dealership as the ski only has 16 hrs on it. checked the impellor and everything there is good so they said ride the ski for a fews mins and see if any engine lights come on. No warning lights came on and engine runs fine just the SC makes a loud high pitch squeal when you get on the gas and the RPMS top out at around 6200 with no power as compared to what it was. Idled the ski back and loaded it up. Any clue whats going on ?

do you know which hose goes to your supercharger intake?

if so... remove it, and stick ur finger in there and try to spin the supercharger impeller with ur finger... let us know what u find.

Unfortunately the ceramic clutch pieces on your supercharger clutch assembly disentegrated

The supercharger will need to be rebuilt and the ceramic debris removed from the oil pump screen.

thanks hulk, that's what i was expecting, hopefully they will warranty it. Are those rpm's a little high for stock ? My buddies rxp, bought the same time i got mine, is toping out at roughly 7680.

They use thicker ceramics in '06. This in no means is a fool proof solution. I have heard of several 06 clutch's letting loose.
